Kale Petersen won the 141 lbs. title on Saturday at the Luther Open Wrestling Tournament in Decorah. The 2023 Greene County High School graduate was a two-time State Champion for the Rams and undefeated in the 1-1/2 seasons he wrestled here. Overall, he won three Iowa high school titles.

On Saturday, Petersen went 5-0 with a dominant performance. He record one fall, three technical falls, and one major decision, including a 22-5 tech fall in the title match. The Luther Open was his first action of the season.

Petersen did not make the trip to Las Vegas and the National Duals where Iowa finished second to Ohio State.
