Three Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School students will head to Ames to perform in the Iowa High School Music Association All-State Music Festival on Saturday.

ADM Choral Director Daniel Novotney says while four students qualified for All-State, three will be performing. Addison Caltrider (Alto), Dawson Foster (Tenor) and Cade Huskey (Bass) will all travel to Ames for the festival, while Avery Garrity (Soprano) will not be performing.

Foster details that the group started working on preparing material this summer before auditioning together as a quartet in October. 

“I was really excited and to see our whole quartet get in was amazing. I don’t think that’s ever happened here before.”

The All-State Music Festival is taking place November 20-22 at Hilton Coliseum at Iowa State University in Ames.
