The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday morning.

The Board approved the annual Conservation Board report after hearing from County Conservation Director Brad Halterman, who shared that there had been good progress with the Raccoon River Valley Trail, which had been used consistently. He mentioned that with the rain that fell over the summer, river accesses were used more frequently than in previous years.

The Board also entered closed session to discuss with legal counsel on the Guthrie County Law Enforcement Center. When they returned to open session, the Board heard from Facilities Manager Brandon Thompson, who shared that his department had been replacing air filters, switched the courthouse from the air conditioning to the boilers to allow the building to be heated, and received their order of ice melt in preparation for winter. The Board then approved the certification and canvass of the 2025 city/school elections, along with the 2025-26 second budget appropriation.
