Girls basketball is right around the corner for the Perry Jayettes, who travel to Hoover High School in Des Moines on Monday, for their season opener against the Huskies. Tip off is scheduled for 6:15pm.

Junior Lily Meyers returns to the court with the Jayettes after leading the team in points scored, blocks, and rebounds last season. Meyer had a dominate season, scoring 210 points, with 15 total blocks and 256 total rebounds. One of three upperclassmen on this year’s Jayettes squad, Meyers looks to lead by example on the court for Perry.
