The AC/GC Chargers Girls Basketball team is that much closer to starting the season.

The team has been in practice since November 10th, and have already gotten a scrimmage under their belt. Head Coach Brad Baudler says that the team went down to Atlantic last Saturday and faced off against several teams, beating Lennox and Exira-EHK, but falling to Carlisle, who he says will be a very good 4A team that should end up ranked and have a good chance of heading to the state tournament. Baudler mentions that the Chargers had good defense and played hard during the scrimmage, and that he’s happy with how they competed against some teams they don’t see often. The first game for the Chargers will be next Monday, as they travel to take on the IKM-Manning Wolves.
