Winter sports are here at Perry High School as the Jayettes wrestling team take the mat today for the first time of the 2025-26 season. The Jayettes travel to Cam High School in Anita for the SWAT Quadrangular with the action beginning at 5pm.

Now senior, Ayden Erickson returns to the mat after a successful junior season last year, wrapping up the season with a 40-16 record and qualifying for the state wrestling tournament. Junior Amelie Canales also returns after a successful 29-9 season, alongside Cate Erickson who wrapped up her sophomore season going 39-12.

The Ericksons and Canales look to lead the Perry Jayettes wrestling team towards another successful year, with their first meet of the season beginning at 5pm today at CAM High School in Anita.
