In Jefferson this weekend, a holiday retail promotion continues.

Jefferson Matters Executive Matt Wetrich says the “Oh! What Fun” enters its second week, with today being Pink Friday and he encourages everyone to check out different retailers for pink-related items, as well as continue to shop local tomorrow. He describes one additional incentive to entice people to shop local this weekend.

“So today and tomorrow we’re going to have our elves out and we’re going to be dishing out some Main Street Money, we used to call them Chamber Bucks, we’ve evolved to Main Street Money. So these are checks (of) varying amounts, and I know there’s even a $50 one out there. So, they’re going to be surprising folks around shopping today and tomorrow, so get out and shop locally.” 

Wetrich adds that the holiday shopping fun does not stop after this weekend, as next weekend retailers will be open after Thanksgiving for Plaid Friday and Small Business Saturday.
