RRNW Begins 25-26 Season 4-0

The Raccoon River Northwest Wrestling Team, which Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School combines with, is off to a hot start, winning their first four matches.

RRNW is made up of four schools, including ADM, Van Meter, Waukee, and Waukee Northwest. The team began the new season this past Tuesday, beating Johnston 65-18. On Thursday, RRNW won their first dual match, defeating Perry 66-12, then took care of SWAT 74-5, and blanked Red Oak 88-0.

A big victory in the Perry match was at weight class 135 when Izzy Duncan won over Joey Maylum in a 4-0 decision. For the SWAT match, a key win was Cassidy McCallister (105 lbs.) beating Addi Glade in a technical fall (21-6 1:42), and Katie Biscoglia (110 lbs.) got Red Oak’s Jlynn Vasquez to fall in 42 seconds.

RRNW will be back in action tomorrow in Nevada at the high school for the Central Iowa Kickoff, beginning at 10am.
