The Stuart Emergency Services departments will be celebrating with the community Saturday.

Police Sergeant Katie Guisinger says that the police, fire and rescue departments all work together for their Emergency Services Christmas. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that while it is not a brand new event for their departments, it is something that hasn’t been around all that long.

“For the last quite a few years, we’ve been doing Emergency Services Christmas. And that’ll be at the Stuart Fire Station from 11am to 1pm, and we’ll have police, fire, rescue all doing various activities, all of them free to anyone who wants to attend or participate in.”

Guisinger mentions that Santa will be visiting, and handing out take home goodie bags along with taking pictures. She adds that people can also decorate cookies, have some fun at the Christmas coloring and craft station, along with having a hot dog and chips lunch.
