Media Day is typically held before a regular season begins, but not always. Greene County’s high school bowling teams are both 0-1 after losses to ADM in Adel on Monday and Media Day was held yesterday. John Woodford is coach of both the girls and boys teams with 15 boys and eight girls out for the sport.

An experienced boys’ team rolled the highest regular season dual meet total for Greene County bowling, now in its third season. Even though the Rams lost to ADM the score of 2,930 was impressive. Junior Chase Fecher rolled a 470 series with games of 240 and 230. Since the Rams began high school bowling, Fecher’s series is among highest pin total.

The girls are much less experienced with the sport of bowling. Sophomore Trinity Hull led the way with a 322 series vs. ADM. Coach Woodford has seen fewer girls than boys out for the sport all three seasons, but there are enough girls for a team.
