Brennan Jacobs, Jaron Jacobs, and Degan Miller are Greene County High School juniors leading the 2025-26 wrestling team. All three won State Tournament matches last season and Miller finished fifth in Class 2A at 165 lbs.

Brennan plans on wrestling in the lightest weight class, 106 lbs., for the third straight season and he told Raccoon Valley Radio his individual goals include placing in the top eight at the 2026 State Tournament. That would mean a top eight finish, earning a medal, and taking part in the Grand March prior to the State Finals at Casey’s Center in Des Moines. As far as the team is concerned, filling all 14 weight classes will not happen because of low numbers of boys out, but he added everyone is strong, working hard, and no one had quit as of this writing, including those out for the sport for the first time.
