Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Cross Country Head Coach Josh Chapman is stoked about the depth of runners coming back for the 2026 season.
The Tigers had a pretty large squad of runners this season, ranging from about 30-40 individuals, split between junior varsity and varsity. ADM had nine seniors that will be graduating in the spring, but received many contributions from freshmen, sophomores and juniors. Head Coach Josh Chapman credits the Middle School Cross Country Coach Bart Mueller on his development to have runners ready to step up at the high school level.
“When you have 16 guys coming in as freshmen, that just tells you that there’s a lot of retention, that he’s done a fantastic job making sure that these guys enjoy the sport.”
Chapman says the JV Team this year won three consecutive meets and also took home first place in the Raccoon River Conference Meet for the second year in a row. He believes that the returning runners are building the foundation for a strong future program.
