With Small Business Saturday returning today, one organization in Adel is reminding everyone to shop local.

Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce President Erin Milroy invites everyone to support local businesses to help grow the local economy.

“I know that Adel definitely has a lot of pride for their school, their community, the businesses there so we would just always encourage people to try and take one small effort, whether that’s shopping at a local bakery, shopping at a boutique for something special and unique or finding a way that they can shop local for projects that they may have, or any of the services that they may need. That’s certainly important and it helps keep that economic heartbeat vital to a growing community.”

While Small Business Saturday is a good reminder to shop local during the holiday season, Milroy adds that it’s important to visit Adel businesses all year long. She encourages community members to continue to think local and to look at what’s in their backyard in Adel.
