Guthrie County Secondary Roads is keeping up with current snowfall.
Guthrie County Engineer Josh Sebern says that at this time, the way the snow is falling makes it easy to keep up. He explains that there are a few slick spots out there because snow fell and melted before the ground could freeze. Sebern mentions that at this time, they are keeping the use of de-icing treatment to a minimum, as predicted conditions for later in the day into tomorrow call for strong winds and heavier snowfall. He adds that this may cause white out conditions, and that this may cause them to delay work to clear roads at times. Secondary Roads crews typically work 5am to 5pm during snowfall events.
