The Adel City staff is seeking donations for the local food pantry. 

According to Adel City Hall, they are hosting the Holiday Food Drive and are asking residents and business-owners to drop-off non-perishable food and hygienic items to City Hall and city staff will take those items to the Adel Food Pantry every other week through the rest of 2025. 

Additionally, while any non-perishable food item will be accepted, city staff say the food that the Adel Food Pantry is in desperate need of includes peanut butter and jelly, breakfast cereal, boxed mac and cheese, boxed or bagged instant mashed potatoes, canned soup, juice in plastic bottles and meals that are either packaged or canned. They also need laundry detergent.
