The West Central Valley Girls Wrestling Team will participate in their third match of the season tomorrow as they head north to Manson.
The Wildcats opened the season on November 17th in Stuart, picking up three victories over Martensdale St. Mary’s, Panorama, and Southwest Valley. Following that, West Central Valley traveled to Corning to compete in the Southwest Valley Tournament on November 22nd versus 15 schools across the Midwest.
Wildcats’ Lorelei Grinnell, Aleyca Comito, and Gracie Sloss all captured third place during the event. Head Coach Amanda Carl believes this team has the capability to do great things.
“We would like to take four girls onto state at minimum, and as a team, are on set for duals, and we’re looking to capitalize on that and maybe keep that goose egg on the end.”
West Central Valley will compete in a field with Panorama, West Bend-Mallard, South Central Calhoun, Sioux Central, Pocahontas, Ogden, GTRA, East Sac County, Eagle Grove, and Manson Northwest Webster High Schools. The match will get going around 5pm tomorrow.
