The Perry Chamber is encouraging community members to think local through a holiday shopping promotion starting today.
Executive Director Lynsi Pasutti says the annual Peppermint Walk is a way to encourage people to shop, dine and be merry. She adds that shoppers can pick up a passport at any of the 30 participating businesses.
“It’s just a reminder of the great businesses that we have right here in town. Some that you would expect to be on the list, maybe some others that are a little bit different. So it’s a great chance to get those gift cards, gift certificates, (and) stocking stuffers. Even while you’re dining, you get a chance to get a stamp or (by) going to the movie theater.”
Pasutti explains that shoppers can get a stamp by making a purchase at any of the participating businesses. Once they have three stamps, Pasutti says they can turn in the passport at the last stop or at the chamber office. Community members can turn in as many completed passports as they like to be entered into a drawing for Perry Bucks.
