A project that’s been discussed many times this school year for Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center (AC/GC) was approved in the November meeting of the GC School Board.

Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that the front stairs at the high school have needed some work done to them for the past few years. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio why they chose to act on the item.

“They went ahead and approved that contract with Caliber Concrete. That was for $50,207 to go ahead and get that project on the books. We just want to get the stairs fixed and want to get that to be a safe entryway.”

Rasmussen mentions that the stairs have been somewhat of an eyesore with some erosion and chips that have occurred. He adds that by getting the project on the books for Caliber Concrete and De Novo Construction Solutions now, it gets them on their list for earlier in the year, rather than later.
