Now that December has arrived, Greene County youth have two opportunities to see Santa Claus this week.

Jefferson Matters Director Matt Wetrich says during the 6th Annual Winter Festival, families can visit with Santa from 4-7pm on Friday at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds. He encourages families to also take part in the crafts, the indoor sock skating rink and look at the decorated trees for free.

Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department Director Nathan Kral says this Saturday is their annual Breakfast with Santa at the Greene County Community Center. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio from 8-10:30am there will be a breakfast buffet that is sponsored by Jefferson Hy-Vee, along with a cookie decorating station and people can get their photos with Santa done with Meythaler Photography. Kral adds that while kids can get breakfast for free, there will be a small charge for any adults who would also like to take advantage of the buffet.
