Panorama wrestler Gracie Recker marched her way onto the top of the podium at the Manson Northwest Webster Girls Wrestling Invitational on Monday.

The Panthers represented well in the northern west portion of Iowa against 11 other schools, where Gracie Recker, who wrestles at weight class 155, defeated Pocahontas Area’s Yammy Gutierrez in a fall (19 seconds), then took care of Eagle Grove’s Keeley Peterson in a fall (24 seconds), and then beat South Central Calhoun’s Bella Dorsey in a 21-second fall to claim first place.

Other individuals for Panorama included Natalie Waltz (110 lbs.) falling to Ogden’s Trinity Stoneburner in the third place match, Cadence Peterson lost to Sioux Central’s Remi Pillars in a fall (3 minutes and 29 seconds) for third place, and Ella Carico dropped her third place match versus Manson NW Webster’s Aazilynn Felix in a fall (5:44).

Additionally, Panther’s Ava Johnson was defeated by Pocahontas Area’s Mady Alhrich (235 lbs.), Abbey Waltz won fifth place for weight class 135 lbs., and Dafne Hernandez captured seventh place.

Panorama’s next meet will be on Friday at the Woodward-Granger Invitational in Woodward versus eight schools, starting at 5pm.
