A Redfield man had charges against him from an alleged incident this past January dismissed.

According to court documents, the Dallas County District Court granted a motion to dismiss the charges against 68-year-old Kevin Mains. He had been facing felony charges for burglary and bodily injury, along with a misdemeanor for violating a no contact order from an alleged incident that happened on January 25th.

However, the Dallas County Attorney’s Office filed for a motion to dismiss on November 25th because they were unsuccessful in making contact with the identified victim, along with failed attempts to subpoena the victim for depositions and the two other witnesses gave contradictory testimonies to the charges against Mains.

Court documents show that the charges were dismissed on December 1st.
