With the holiday season going on, special music will be featured this month from the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower in Jefferson.

Peg Raney, the Mahanay Tower Music Coordinator, says the Tower Tunes Live-Christmas Special will have music performed by several Mahanay Maestros every Thursday in December from 5:15-5:30pm. Raney states that individuals will play Christmas-themed music, both secular and religious on the four-octave carillon bells. She points out the maestros will be Rita Rasmussen tomorrow, Jenny Wills next Thursday and Danille Curtis is scheduled for the Thursday before Christmas Day on December 18th.

Additionally, Raney adds that the bell tower will also be lit up with Christmas colors Friday and Saturday evenings this month as well.
