The Panorama Basketball Teams were not able to overcome Woodward-Granger on Tuesday night for the season opener, as the girls lost 57-43 and the boys were defeated 78-72.

The Panthers kicked off the 2025-26 season in Panora, as the Hawks beat the girls by a similar margin the past two years, as they took the second game from last season 62-48. On the boys side, Panorama held a 17-16 lead after the first quarter. However, Woodward-Granger took a 30-27 advantage into the halftime locker room. The battle would continue into the third quarter, as the Hawks led slightly at 53-51, before erupting for 25 more points to carry them onto a 78-72 victory.

With the losses, the Panthers fall to 0-1 in the early season, while the Lady Hawks go to 2-0 with the boys at 1-0. Woodward-Granger will return home to host Coon Rapids-Bayard on Thursday, and Panorama will hit the road to IKM-Manning High School on Thursday.
