On Tuesday, the Perry basketball teams traveled to Greene County High School for double header action against the Rams. The Jayettes battled back but just fell short by two points, falling to Greene County 49-47. The Bluejays battled back and came away with the victory, defeating the Rams 56-48.

In the girls contest, the Jayettes struggled in the first half, down 29-13 at halftime. In the second half, Perry began the come back, entering the fourth quarter down by 44-29. In the final quarter, Perry held Greene County to only five points while scoring 18 points but just fell short to the Rams 49-47 with Lily Myers leading the charge for the Jayettes with 16 points.

In the boys contest, the Bluejays also had a slow start with a dramatic comeback in the second half. Gustavo Drahos helped pushed Perry ahead in the third quarter, hitting four threes in the third to put the Bluejays ahead entering the fourth 42-39. Drahos ended the night with 33 points, keeping Perry ahead of Greene County in the end 56-48.

Perry basketball returns to action on Thursday on the road, traveling to Ogden High School to face off against the Bulldogs.  The girls battle first at 6pm with the boys to follow at 7:30.
