Some great news related to the coaching staff for AC/GC Chargers basketball was recently announced by the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA).

Girls Basketball Head Coach Brad Baudler was recently named as the coach for the 2026 Pizza Ranch IBCA All-Star Team, and will be leading the Southwest team against the three other teams from around the state with the help of Council Bluffs St. Alberts coach Richard Wettengel. Baudler will lead 12 players, plus four alternates, against the Northwest, Northeast and Southeast teams.

Baudler mentions that it’s an unexpected honor to be selected for this opportunity, and that he’s looking forward to being able to represent Chargers girls basketball at this level. He adds that this chance comes from the privilege he’s had of coaching some really talented girls who helped him and his system shine, and that without the former and current players competing for him, this is something that wouldn’t have been possible. The games will be held March 28, 2026 at Dallas Center-Grimes High School in Grimes. The first round of girls games will begin at 10:45am.
