The city of Grand Junction will be buzzing with holiday spirit on Saturday.

Barbara Hunter is a co-organizer of the 13th Annual Jingle Into Junction that takes place from 5-6:30pm on Saturday at the Grand Junction Community Center. She says the local Horizons Club is sponsoring a meal that includes meatball baked pasta, a salad, garlic bread and dessert bars. She states that the cost is $7 for adults, $4 for those five to ten years old and free for anyone who is younger than five. Hunter points out that the proceeds from the meal is used by the Horizons Club to purchase gift cards from Fareway that are given to elderly or disabled individuals in the community.

Hunter says there will also be a silent auction, along with tabletop centerpieces and holiday decor for sale, as well as ready-made gifts from the Naked Ladies Garden Club, with proceeds to be used for their continued effort to beautify the community.

Additionally, Santa will be at the Grand Junction Fire and Rescue station where families can stop by and meet with him, as well as enjoy hot chocolate and treats. Organizers say that people can also sign up for a chance to win a free turkey.
