With another round of snowfall that may happen later today in Greene County, being prepared to drive safely in adverse weather conditions is a must.
Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams goes over a few of those safety reminders for motorists.
“Don’t use your cruise control when the roads are slick and don’t apply brakes heavily, apply your brakes slowly so that if you start to skid, you can let off (of the brakes) and usually the car will straighten itself back out.”
Williams advises motorists to be aware when driving on bridges when there are snow events and immediately afterwards, as those areas tend to freeze more quickly than a normal roadways and can cause additional problems.
