The AC/GC Chargers split their second set of games this season, this time against the Woodward-Granger Hawks.

The girls team started off trailing 18-17 at the end of the first, but turned things around and went into halftime leading 32-27. The team came back and increased the lead, going up 47-38 at the end of the third quarter, and finished the game with the 62-48 victory. Junior Olivia Mahaffey was the leading scorer, putting up over 20 points, going eight of ten from the charity stripe. Senior Camdyn Richter led on the defensive, racking up four steals, and interrupted the Hawks play-style even more times.

For the boys game, the Chargers started off trailing 19-8, but brought things back to take a 27-26 lead going into the halftime break. The team came back and was outscored to go down 46-43 at the end of the third quarter, and despite a late push, were unable to come back from the deficit, finishing the game with the 61-53 loss. Senior Tommy Skram led the team in scoring, putting up 29 points, including going eight of ten from free throw, with fellow senior Joe Crawford leading the defensive effort with five steals and hard work.

The Chargers return to action Tuesday night, when they face off against the Van Meter Bulldogs on the road.
