The Chief Judge of the Judicial District that includes Greene County was recently sentenced.

According to court documents, Adria Kester, who serves as the Chief Judge of the Second Judicial District, pled guilty to a serious misdemeanor for her first OWI. Court documents show that she was sentenced to one year of probation with the Iowa Department of Correctional Services. Court documents state that Kester must also complete an OWI and substance abuse program. 

The charge stemmed from an incident when Kester was drunk driving at 8:23pm on November 4th, as she was seen driving east in the westbound lanes of Highway 30 in Boone County. The report shows law enforcement found her noticeably drunk and she had to be assisted from her vehicle. 

Court documents state that Kester was also ordered to pay $1,537 of court costs and fees.
