As the Perry Jayettes prepare for the third week of the regular season, freshman Kate Schuttler continues to find success on defense for the Jayettes basketball team. Schuttler wrapped up the week with 45 rebounds, with 22 alone against Ogden on Thursday.
As a freshman, Schuttler averages 13.75 rebounds per game, and has the second highest amount of rebounds on the team alongside Lily Myers who leads the Jayettes with 66. Head coach David Morris is happy with Schuttlers success in her rookie season, and believes she has tied the Jayettes basketball school record in rebounds during a single game with 22 against Ogden.
The Jayettes return to action for a full week at home, beginning the week on Tuesday against PCM. The double header coverage will begin at 5:45pm on KDLS for Perry Bluejays and Jayettes basketball with the Perry HyVee pregame show.
