10:34am: Auston Carter 31 of Coon Rapids was booked into the jail for OWI 1st offense.

1:58pm: The Greene County Sheriff’s Office and the Jefferson Police Department conducted a search warrant in the 2000 block of Neola Avenue for suspected child pornography. Digital evidence was seized. Charges pending results of digital forensics.

7:45pm: A deputy assisted a motorist on 220th Street near Grimmell Road.

8:15pm: A deputy assisted with a medical call on 220th Street near S Avenue.

8:31pm: Melanie Smith 25 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for gathering where controlled substances used, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
