The Stuart City Council met in regular session Monday night.

The Council approved having Councilmember Mike Kalbach work with legal counsel Steve Brick to discuss the effect of implementing a moratorium on liquor and tobacco licenses, then approved paying out vacation hours for a police officer who is transitioning to working for the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office. They also approved hiring Dustin Capps as the Stuart Rescue Director, along with implementing an emergency medical services advisory committee for the city.

The Council then approved the final pay estimate of $19,159.42, acceptance of project, and tabled an engineering agreement amendment, with all three pertaining to the Wambold 3rd Addition. Two resolutions regarding authorizing and approving a loan agreement, providing for the issuance of a taxable general obligation corporate purpose bond, series 2025C and 2025D, and providing for the levy of taxes to pay the same were tabled, before approving a change order of $1,000 regarding the All Saints Retention Pond Lot Sidewalk project.
