The Dallas County Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
The Board approved a bid for the Raccoon River Valley Trail Adel Bridge Span Project, following a public hearing. Dallas County Conservation Director Curt Cable said four bids came in for the project. He added that the lowest bid, which was approved, was $598,000 from RW Excavating Solutions LLC that was 13% below the engineers estimate.
Additionally with the project, the Board approved a $48,000 construction administration agreement with Snyder and Associates.
Under capital projects, the Board heard updates on the Dallas County Courthouse Renovation along with the proposed Emergency Medical Services Station in Adel.
Items on the agenda that were also approved included two rezoning ordinances following public hearings. The first was to rezone four acres of land to add a 22,000 square foot commercial building for office, fabrication and storage near Woodward. The second was to subdivide a property into three five acre lots near De Soto. The Board waived the second and third readings of the ordinances for final adoption.
