Local children will get into the holiday spirit through a special storytime this weekend at the Adel Public Library.

Programming Specialist Lily Schwarz says a Christmas storytime will be held with retired librarian Miss Paula at 10 a.m. on Saturday. 

“Miss Paula was the librarian here for many years, she’s the reason that we’re in this beautiful building. And she takes time out of the holiday season to come and do a really special storytime for the kiddos. There will be books and crafts. She always brings some very stunning craft that the kids really enjoy. I’m sure there will be glitter involved.” 

Schwarz adds that the free program will be held in the library’s community room.
