A new series that started last month with the Jefferson Public Library continues this month, where people can watch a free movie.

Library Director Jane Millard says the Storybook Cinema will feature the movie “Prancer” as a family holiday film on Monday at 6:30pm in the basement of the library. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they wanted to have a regular movie program for the public to enjoy on a monthly or every other month basis, particularly when the Sierra Community Theatre was not normally open.

Millard notes these Storybook Cinemas are family-friendly and are free, due to the sponsorship of the Greene County Board of Supervisors. She says there will also be popcorn and beverages available for free as well. Millard adds to be watching their monthly program calendar in their newsletters, their website and their Facebook page of when the next Storybook Cinema happens.
