Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Dance Head Coach Jana Morrissey expresses her satisfaction with the Tigers’ performance at the Iowa State Drill/Dance Team Association Championships in early December.

This year, ADM took fourth place in the Contemporary division, second in the Hoopla category, and received a Division-1 Rating in the Pom division, which also garnered the Dance Team Union Bold Award. In addition, senior Isabelle Karwal was the recipient of the Lois Turnage Memorial Scholarship. Tigers’ Dance Head Coach Jana Morrissey is truly proud of the girls and that watching them on stage made her emotional.

“I had tears in my eyes, and I don’t get like that very often. So when I do, it just really hits home and it just really just warms your heart to watch the kids go out there and do what they love to do. So that made it really fun and just worthwhile to all of it. It was fun to see all of their hard work pay off.”

Morrissey invites people to come watch the dance team perform at ADM basketball games this month and in January, then the Tigers will have their Dance Showcase on February 19th.
