Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach reminds 4-H members of an opportunity for a project for the 2026 Adair County Fair.
Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says that they have returned a project for the second year now. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they are excited to see it once again this year.
“We have our Quilt Square Challenge started already for the 2026 Adair County Fair. (We) figured (with) winter, Christmas break is a great time to get some sewing done and get ahead of the schedule for your projects. So if you want to partake in our Quilt Square Creation Challenge, those bags are ready to go.”
Savage mentions that they started with 25 packets, with it being a first come first serve situation. She adds that the squares for this year will be gathered at the end of the Adair County Fair, and that the quilt made from the squares from last year’s fair will be an item in the annual silent auction for the fair.
