Sophomore Harper Peterson has been named wrestler of the week for the Perry Jayettes wrestling team. Peterson wrestles in the 100 pound weight class, and currently has a 10-4 record with the Jayettes in her sophomore season.

Peterson was recognized by the Jayettes coaching staff for recent improvements on and off the matt. Harper has been on a tear this season, reaching the podium in every tournament thus far, and event placed 1st in the 100 weight class in Saydel last week. Peterson defeated Lola Voth of Chariton to claim the championship of the 100 pound weight class.

Peterson and the Jayettes return to action on Friday, traveling to Fort Dodge with the action set to begin at 4:30pm.
