The West Central Valley girls and boys wrestling hosted meets in Stuart on Tuesday, as the girls beat Southwest Valley 36-24, and the boys fell to Bedford 42-23 and Southwest Valley 60-15.
For the Wildcats girls, Lorelei Grinnell won over Destiny Easley in a 28-second fall, Elizabeth Handy defeated Josslynn Benge by a 54-second fall, and Elyzah Olson beat Akima Whipple in a 21-second fall.
In the boys matches, key victories against Bedford included Tyler Peugh winning over Grant Gould in a 43-second fall and Lucas McColloch defeating Bryson Cavin in a fall (1 minute and 37 seconds). For the SW Valley match, Peugh won against Degan Farwell in a 10-7 decision and Cody Rodriguez defeated Anis Akhdar by a fall (1:17).
WCV girls will now be done for winter break, while the boys have one more competition on Saturday in Pleasantville. The full results from the respective home matches can be found below.
