Jacob Bazis, age 31, 705 SE Gateway Dr, Grimes, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence. He was also cited for Operation Without Registration Card Or Plate and Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.
Danny Fowler, Clive, was driving in the 17000 block of Windover Road when he lost control and went into a deep ditch. He was assisted out of the truck and checked by EMS but declined transport to any hospital. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500 and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Larry Dewall, Perry, was stopped at T Ave and Hwy 44 when he pulled out into the intersection and struck a semi driven by Levi Lewis, Ames. No injuries were reported and damage to Mr. Ames’ vehicle was estimated at $10,000. Damage to Mr. Dewall’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000. Mr. Dewall was issued a citation for Fail To Yield Upon Left Turn. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Nehad Mohamed, Waukee, was driving in the 32500 block of Northwoods Dr when she experienced a medical issue and hit a brick mailbox. Ms. Mohamed reported that she would go to the doctor on her own. Damage to vehicle was estimated at $6,000. Damage to the mailbox was estimated at $6,000 also. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Michael Ruffin, age 52, 2813 Bennett Ave, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear. The original charge was Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.
Sierra Mallory, Carlisle, was driving on Hwy 141 at Odessa Place, when she struck a deer. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $10,000. The vehicle was going to be privately towed.
Jayden Roush, Ogden, was driving on Hwy 141 at Odessa Place when he hit a deer. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $5,000. He was able to drive the vehicle from the scene.
James Collings, Redfield, was driving in the 1300 block of Grant Street when he lost control and hit a mailbox. No injuries were reported and damage to his vehicle was estimated at $7,000. Damage to the mailbox was estimated at $600. Mr. Collins was cited for Striking Fixtures Upon A Highway.
