As the calendar year is coming to a close, the Stuart Public Library looks back on how they’ve been able to serve the community.
Director Lisa Sherman says that it’s a great feeling to have patrons and visitors come in and be able to take part in one of their many events, or utilize one of their several services. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio of a time that someone was traveling through the area from Chicago, and needed to take part in a Zoom meeting. Sherman mentions that the woman loved being able to use the sound pod that they have, which blocks outside noises from getting in, and conversations inside from getting out. She adds that their regular events like Cribbage and Coffee, Books and Badges, the monthly scavenger hunt and much more are all also well received by the community.
