2023 Perry Jayettes basketball graduate Lydia Olejniczak, was recognized during halftime of the Roland-Story and Perry match up at home on December 13th. Olejniczak was praised in front of the home fans, and had her jersey retired and placed on display at Perry High School.

Olejniczak was recongized for a historic performance back in 2022, where she scored 48 points to set the current school record for points scored in a game for girls basketball. In her senior season alone, Lydia continued to dominate with 430 points scored, 175 rebounds, 37 steals and 77 assists.

Olejniczak’s jersey will be on display at Perry High School.
