Tomorrow is Christmas, and many may need to travel for celebrations.
Iowa State Patrol Trooper Shelby McCreedy says that with Christmas being mid-week this year, it creates a longer period of people traveling for the holiday. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio something to keep in mind if you need to travel.
“So what travelers need to anticipate for the Christmas holiday this year is probably a longer stretch of time in which you’re going to see an increase of traffic on our roadways.”
McCreedy mentions that the increase of traffic will certainly be seen today, but was also something to keep in mind for the start of the week. She adds that it will also continue to be something to keep in mind through Sunday.
