The first part of the school year has ended, and one administrator looks back on how everything went.

Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that the first semester has been great this year, with success through athletics, academics and the arts. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that both students and staff have worked hard throughout the year so far, and that they’ve kept to the district’s ideals.

“Our mission is ‘Every Charger, every day, and expect the best.’ And that’s what they’re doing. So making sure our kids are learning. (I’m) really excited about that.”

Rasmussen mentions that academically, students have excelled under teaching from the staff, especially with a new reading curriculum having been implemented. He adds that in extracurriculars, postseason runs for all four fall sports teams helped continue the success they’ve had in recent years, and that the winter sports are off to a great start as well.
