Those looking for a fun project over the winter break can join the Dallas County Conservation Board early next week.

Outreach Coordinator Jeni Baker says Critter Crafts: Birds and Bird Feeders will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday at Forest Park Museum, 14581 K Avenue, Perry.

Baker details that participants will be able to create a bird feeder using pinecones, peanut butter and bird seed. She adds that the program is geared towards younger children as a story will be read aloud during  the craft program.

While the event is free, Baker encourages families to register early so they can make sure they have enough materials on hand. More information can be found through the DCCB’s Eventbrite or Facebook pages.
