Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is still looking for some summer assistants for 2026.
Youth Coordinator Rachel Muir says that they are looking for two applicants, and will have them working with them throughout the summer. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio some of the requirements that these individuals will need.
“They do need to be a high school graduate and we’re looking for about 32 to 40 hours per week. So responsibilities would be preparation and input or implementing our 4-H summer day camps and project workshops helping us at the Guthrie County Fair, prepping exhibits for the Iowa State Fair, general office duty such as answering phones, making copies, helping with walk-in clients.”
Muir mentions that they will be having one assistant start in March, with the other to start in May. She adds that the application deadline is January 12, 2026.
