Panorama senior Dancer Lexi Wasson outlines how skills from the sport can be related to real life situations.

Wasson has been a staple performer for the Panthers High School Team, which was on display during this year’s Iowa State Dance/Drill Team Association Championships in Des Moines earlier this month. She shares that she tries to encourage positivity to the other girls, reminding them of their ability to be able to compete against any school they face. Out of the many skills she acquired from Panorama’s Dance Team, there is one aspect that she can carry with her throughout her life.

“I would say that my biggest skill that I have learned from this team is my leadership skills. And I think I can apply that moving on to college and my college team, and just in general in life.”

Wasson has left her imprint on the Panthers’ Dance Team, as Panorama was able to place five girls inside the top-10 at the ISDTA Championships. After graduation in the spring, Wasson will be attending Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo to continue her dance career.
