From left to right: Paige Bleckwehl, Jaeci Stevens, and Zoey Reicks
Three members from the West Central Valley Girls Basketball Team will be featured on tonight’s Wahl McAtee Tire and Service Center Guthrie County PM Sports Magazine on Raccoon Valley Radio.
Wildcats’ freshman Paige Bleckwehl, sophomore Zoey Reicks, and junior Jaeci Stevens will assess how the first seven games have gone, and the improvement they’ve seen with the team. Reicks shares that the squad may be younger, but they are hungry to compete.
“I think our team has a lot of grit. Losing seven seniors last year was a huge upset, but I think this year, we are just really determined to win.”
Bleckwehl loves playing in front of a frenzy home atmosphere.
“I feel like we always have a good crowd that shows up and our student section, we’re always loud and cheering, and it’s good.”
Steven explains why Ogden was her favorite game of the season so far.
“Because we all got to play and we all got to use our skills, and just do what we needed to do.”
The full conversation with Reicks, Bleckwehl, and Stevens can be heard during tonight’s Wahl McAtee Tire and Service Center Guthrie County PM Sports Magazine on K107.9 KKRF, starting at 6pm. The show includes in-depth interviews with AC/GC, Panorama, and West Central Valley High Schools.
