There has been much controversy with US actions regarding Venezuelan boats in recent months, but some have described seeing positive results.

US Congressman for Iowa’s 3rd District Zach Nunn says that the peace through strength approach has shown results so far, with these drug running groups now having difficulties finding individuals willing to get into boats to ship their products. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio more about the dropping number in drug boats leaving the South American Country, and touches on US involvement with Venezuelan oil tankers.

“The simple fact that multiple strikes have resulted in a precipitous decline in the amount of drug boats leaving Venezuela is an absolute clear win that this strategy is working. I will also say that in regards to the oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela, this is a false flag operation. It’s part of a larger ghost fleet and armada of illegal shipping activity that takes illicit oil from sanctioned Venezuela and sells it to groups that then use it for funding of terrorism, like we saw in the Middle East.”

Nunn mentions that this undercuts rogue regimes, and keeps it from enfranchising Moscow, Caracas, Tehran and other sanctioned areas and countries from violating those sanctions. He adds that another way that the US can and has been fighting this ghost fleet is pulling their insurance coverage, keeping them from being able to go into international ports. Nunn continues that ultimately, he would like to see help for the Venezuelan people, as the regime leading the country is beginning to collapse, and has sought support from narco terrorist groups instead of working to become better for their citizens.
