Off the heels of the recent production of the recorded version of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens and adapted by Orson Welles, Greene County Community Theatre is moving forward with its next show.

GCCT President Josh Tuel says after recording their previous two performances, their organization is turning their attention to the stage for a live show this spring called, “Birds of North America” by Anna Ouyang Moench. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that it is a two-person cast about a father and daughter that goes over a ten year time span, where you see their relationship and conversation evolve over their shared interest of bird watching.

With auditions taking place on January 12th and 13th, Tuel points out that there is a meeting tonight at 7pm at the Jefferson Masonic Lodge for individuals needed for some backstage positions.

“That would be people who want to help build sets, people who want to help with makeup, people who want to help with sound, and lighting, and all of that great stuff, (along with) costuming. Anybody who wants to help, please show up or contact me through the Community Theatre page on Facebook or Instagram.”

Tuel hopes to see lots of people who want to support the show but not necessarily want to be on stage.
